Why Every Blogger Needs a On-Line Business Card

Business cards are dead, right? No one needs a business card anymore, especially if the business is online, correct? If you’re someone who believes this, then you should seriously reconsider.

I can think of at least five instances were I needed a business card. Luckily, I have some. It always happens when I am in social situation. When people ask me what I do – I tell them – I am a writer and most of my work is on my blogs.

Before I actually had a on-line business cards, I scratched down the site on a piece of scrap paper or even a paper napkin. And people would still visit. They would give me feedback about what they thought when I see them again.

That’s powerful. People were visiting my blog because they were genuinely intrigued by what I do. Because my blogs look professional and are filled with content, I am more likely gain a loyal reader once they visit the site.

A lot of people who find the blog online don’t necessarily become loyal visitors to your site. However, if you have a business card for each blog, one that reflects its personality and theme, you will be more likely to get then to enter the web address.

And for goodness sake, make sure the URL isn’t too damn long. People don’t want to type thisismyreallylongblogname.com – it’s too cumbersome! Just order your cards (you can even get some free business cards), and start handing them out whenever it seems natural.
